Messy Advent at St. Peter’s

During this Advent, St. Peter’s hosted a Messy Church in the Church halls.being-creative

Frank Dillon the parish’s children worker writes:

We find Messy Church to be a great way to  encourage new and regular families to come together at this time of year to celebrate the real meaning of Christmas. We used the Advent Messy Church programme from the Ripple website to make all the craft and have an overall theme, which worked out great! Sixteen children came along with their parents and we all had a great time making a mess (and some craft) and learning about the true meaning of Christmas. After all the chaos, we all sat down to a well-deserved meal and fellowship.

Overall, the day went incredibly well and we couldn’t be more pleased with it.
