Celebrating at Connor’s Big Weekend

We had a fantastic time at Connor’s Big Weekend in St. Patrick’s Ballymena. Saturday 16th from 2-4pm was our Big Family Fiesta.

The All Age Worship band Inspire led us in a range of worship songs, including lots of upbeat praise songs along with some quieter more reflective songs as we thought about what Christ has done for us and celebrated being part of God’s Kingdom.

Chris and Ross from Play It By Ear drama company communicated the Big story of the bible with us and then later focused on the Lost stories and what they mean for each of us.

Bob Hartman shared stories and songs from his Rhyming Bible in his own unique style drawing us all into the story and including everyone in actions and responses, laughter and fun but also with thought provoking moments and a clear message of God’s great gift to us.

Gareth Bell otherwise known as Magic G enthralled everyone with his amazing tricks. He did some upfront performances for us as well as some close up tricks with the kids during the refreshments break. He had a very interactive approach and combined the well known and loved ‘pass the parcel’ game with an amazing card tricks that left everyone wondering ‘how did he do that!’.

Sunday 17th was Snapshot Sunday an afternoon of interactive workshops for children’s and youth leaders from our team of experts. Joining Play It By Ear, Bob Hartman and the band Inspire were  Catherine Little and Paul Coulter.

We ended the weekend with an All Age service in St. Patrick’s hall with a commissioning element for leaders.
