Kingdom Quest Holiday Bible club got underway on 4th August in St. Aidan’s Glenavy. The programme was written by Andrew Neill, who is the children’s worker for the parish. Kingdom Quest centres around the escapades of Knight Vinegar as he tries to serve Queen Guinevere with lots of hilarious mishaps along the way. All the children baptised in Belfast Cathedral during the last 5 years along with their families were invited to a special service on 29th June at 1pm in the side chapel. It was a chance to reconnect with the ministry team at St. Anne’s and make new friendships with other families as well as take part in a child friendly service of thanksgiving named
The “Kid’s Big Adventure” dates are 3 Diocesan days for children throughout Connor. The 3 dates are in 3 different venues; one in each of the archdeaconries so there should be a venue near you. As part of Ballymoney, Finvoy and Rasharkin’s church weekend hosted at the parish halls at St. Patrick’s there was a full children’s programme on Saturday afternoon from 2-5pm. Whilst the parents joined in with teaching seminars, the children participated in games, crafts, teaching, praise and creative prayer activities. Monkstown Parish celebrated their annual Children’s Day service on 22nd June. There was a great family feel to the service and a warm welcome for all. The service commenced with a welcome by Rev.
